[ he manages to ignore these messages, hoping that the little "read" mark shows up on steve's end (since he definitely purposefully did not pay attention when someone tried to tell him where to turn that on or off, as one does). it is hard, though, because he really wants to ask how many "borrowed" cars steve has actually returned.

a little while later an idea comes to him and he messages sam to ask if texting even counts as "speaking," and when that fails, whether a picture message counts as "speaking"-

then when that fails, decides to completely ignore that entire conversation.

why'd he think asking sam would help, anyway.
